I have a Laptop Asus RoG g751jl with 1tb HDD i7-4720HQ 16GB Ram and g965m video card, and a desktop with i5 6400 8GB ram 500GB SSD and 1TB HDD with Titan x gpu. My question is why does my desktop loads faster than my laptop specially on games is it because of the GPU? Thanks!

The desktop's LOADING times are attributed to the desktop having an SSD. SSDs are significantly faster than HDDs, with SATA SSDs being about 5-6x faster than a 7200RPM HDD. Laptops also have a slower version of a standard desktop HDD, and they run at 5400RPM usually (roughly 33% slower).

Performance in games is obviously attributed to the much better GPU, but load times are attributed to the SSD.
