Hello everyone, i've had the same setup for over a year and i've never had a problem with anything. Just recently over the weekend and it's continuing on now, my pc is having trouble connecting to the internet. I've had the same router for years and the modem for about a year as well. My pc is wired to the router which is wired to the modem about a foot away from the router. The last 4-5 days when i try to open up google chrome it will say "connecting" while its trying to load or it will say "resolving host" and nothing ever happens, or it will just say unable to connect to the network. Meanwhile i'm on my phone or tablet connected to the internet just fine.

I have windows 8.1, the bottom right of your screen shows the flag, speaker, windows icon and network. The network is connected perfectly fine, no red X, no yellow triangle, yet it still doesn't connect properly. I have to restart my pc sometimes over and over again or reset router and modem a couple times just for my pc to connect properly when all other devices are connecting with no issues. PLEASE someone help me get rid of this annoying problem, thank you for your time, much appreciated.

Well chrome itself isn't the only thing not working, nothing that has internet connection works. I have to unplug and re-plug my router over and over every time my internet connection stops working (BUT ALL OTHER DEVICES CONNECTED STILL WORK FINE) it's only my pc that stops working. Note that even when it stops working it says it's connected in the bottom right of screen, no connection issues yet it stops and wont load anything meanwhile all other devices are still loading fine. I just updated my network adapter driver from Asus and that didn't do anything it was already the latest version. Please can anyone help with this.
