Good Evening,
The issue I am getting is I am unable to get a display from my GPU. Had my PC in at a specialist after spending a couple of weeks trying to get it working but it ended up not being worthwhile. He suggested buying a "gaming" motherboard or a new GPU as a solution so I went with a new motherboard which didn't help at all.
My PC is an AMD build with fairly new Ryzen hardware rocking an RX 570 (Brand new part). I know the GPU is working as the specialist had it inside an Intel build while troubleshooting.
Upon boot with the GPU inserted correctly I get no display at all. If I connect a HDMI to the motherboard I can go into the BIOS and find it doesn't pick up my GPU when inserted. The GPU seems to work fine from the outside (Lights flash fans spin)
What I have done:
- Reset CMOS via the battery
- Reseated each individual stick of ram
- Used DDU to uninstall old Ryzen drivers
- Completely reset windows
- Used the second PCIE port
- Disabled on-board graphics (resulted in no display)
- Purchased a new motherboard
- Updated BIOS
- Possibly other things I can't think of
As a side note the GPU worked the first night I installed it. When I turned the PC on the next morning it didn't work ( I never changed anything). I was able to get it working by force disabling my onboard graphics on my old motherboard but again it didn't boot upon next boot.
My PC components are:
Ryzen 2400g
2x4GB 2400mHz Ram
Asus B450-F ROG Strix
Asus ROG Strix RX 570 4GB
Aerocool RAVE 800W PSU (PSU apparently works with NVIDIA GPU)
