So I recently bought the LucidSound ls25 headset. This headset comes with a detachable mic which can be plugged/unplugged via a port on the bottom of the left cup.
Additionally, the headset comes with 2 cables. One cable is just a 3.5mm cable for plugging into your phone/laptop.
The second cable has a 3.5mm jack on one end to plug into the headset and the other end splits into a mic and audio cable for plugging into your motherboard.
So I come home and hook the headset up and all seemed well, Realtek was detecting the mic and headphones so I hop into discord and nobody can hear me. After messing around with my recording/playback devices I realize that despite Realtek is detecting the mic it's not picking up any audio coming in.
Could this be a hardware problem (in which case I don't know what I'm gonna do since I bought this headset at PAX South) or is it some software mcguffin I've overlooked?
Any suggestions are appreciated, I don't want to have to rely on my webcam mic.
So I plug just the mic into my pc's front mic panel and it works?
