Hi, recently I bought a devastator II mouse and keyboard kit, the mouse has 3 additional buttons one which switches between three predefined DPI settings and two others on the side which can be bound to various things in game (I.E select grenade, melee, etc, etc.) However I have been wanting to set up a macro for bunny hopping in CS, the only problem is cooler master doesn't seem to provide any software for the mouse besides basic drivers. I seen this post here: http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-3052183/setting-macro-mouse.html The only problem is that this tutorial doesn't apply to the devastator II mouse. Wondering if there was any other ways to set up macros with this mice without any official software?

I must ask, since it's not even stated on the product's page, where did you learn of the ability to tie a macro to the side buttons? They are designed as navigation buttons in Window File Explorer or in your browser to be Back/Forward buttons. You could reassign the buttons in the game's menu but asking it to do a macro without a software or a means to record the keystrokes is out of the question.

I could be wrong though.

Someone who I know through steam claims he has the same mouse and has a bhop macro bound to one of the side buttons however he said he no longer remembers how he set it up. I doubt the credibilty of this as everywhere i've looked claims it's impossible.

Also just to clarify when i said the buttons on the side could be bound to various things i did not mean as macro's but as general binds like anyother button.

Which is pretty much all mice with no add-on macro but with laterally mounted navigation buttons are capable of.

I think this thread should put your query to rest, why, since all sources lead you to say it's not happening. The person who said it just said it out of pure invisible bragging rights. If he did it, he'd have half an idea of how to do it and the rest could be pieced together.
