Is anyone seeing a "devicetable icon" in there "C" drive?
I get one of these icons every now and then. I delete it
and a few days later it comes back. When I open it it
opens with notepad and just describes my cd writer.

Is it an icon file or another type of file? If a text or log file, you
could open it with Notepad to see what's in it. The file contents might
give you a clue about what program is creating the file.

I've never seen a file named devicetable but I do get a text file in the
root folder (C:) for my scanner on every startup and occasionally one for
my cd burner and dvd burner. I think this second one is a check from my
burning software for installed devices.
