Question Devolo Magic 2 wifi next: wifi slow speed

Hi all,

I recently installed a fiber optic 1mbit line to my home. I have also upgraded to Devolo Magic 2 wifi Next. My FritzBox router connects in 1 gbit and the wifi signal next to the router is around 900mbps (which is fine). The router is in the basement.
The dlan speed in the Devolo wifi adapter in the first floor shows in the Devolo copckit app 650mbps (which is fine), but the wifi speed using Speedtest using an iPhone 15 Pro Max next to the Devolo is only 55mbps!

Can you please explain what is wrong? Why so much difference between the dlan (Devolo network speed) and the wifi output from Devolo?

If available, Update the firmware of all devices
check the Wi-Fi connection if it's set to 2.4ghz or 5ghz or both. be sure not to connect to the Fritz Box instead of the powerline adapters.
how much is the connection speed to the phone? should be seen in the Wi-Fi menu of your phone, i think.
check LAN connection of the dlan with a laptop or PC or TV

would get fritz powerline adapters to enable mesh. fritzbox won't make mesh with others sadly

All Devolo are updated to the latest version. I use only 2,4 because when I use 2,4 and 5, wifi speed drops.

Sure. The Fritz is in the basement and I am in the first floor.

I don’t know how to check this. But I don’t believe that this is the problem.

I believe that it is something in the Devolo configuration. The router is connected with the first Devolo through a cat 6 cable. The distance is less than 5 meters. So the master device of Devolo gets 1gbit internet. The powerline network is ok (all 4 devolos have a speed around 600-700). But wifi is slow. I tested the wifi in one Devolo I have in the basement where powerline speed is 1100. The wifi speed is still 65…

Please note that Mesh is enabled in the router and in devolos. Could be this a problem?
