DHCP problems with my wifi range extender

I have a TP link router and a TP link range extender for my network. My devices can all connect to my router with no problems but when they try to connect through my extender, i get DHCP errors. I have tried changing channels on my router and mac address binding and nothing has worked. I even made the extender a DHCP server. When i did that, devices could connect to my network, but not the internet. I'm out of ideas. Can I get some help?

You need to post your settings for all devices. You do not want two DHCP servers on one network though.

Is it truly set up as an extender, via a wireless link? Do you have the capability of attaching them with an Ethernet cable so that you can set up an AP instead?

It is set up as an extender but the devices I'm trying to connect are kindle fires and tablets so they can't be attached via cable.

I decided to follow advice on another thread and continued to change router channels. I finally found a channel that works but the Kindles still can't connect coming out of sleep mode. I have to shut them down and restart them every time. Is this a singnal strenght problem between my router and extender or a kindle problem?

You can probably fix that by deleting your saved network in the Kindle and then restart them and select your wireless network and enter the passkey again. If that doesn't do it I would say that it is a Kindle issue.
