Diablo 2 No Sound Effects

I have BGM working, there is no 3D sound enabled, and I have tried reinstalling RealTek drivers. Windows 10.

I have also tried running as Admin, changing compatibility, and changing sound quality (DVD, CD, FM) in the Windows sound settings. Please help.

Check to see if your sound device is allowing applications to take exclusive control. I know it sounds weird, since most of the time even with that setting on everything works fine, but disabling it has fixed several issues for me in the past.
