Good keep delaying because this game is gonna be so garbage. Im already moving on to TL2 n many other BETTER games by more creative companies unlike this bloated lazy fat blizz.

[citation][nom]mobrocket[/nom]I am glad it is delayed.... there are so many good games coming out between now and mid 2012... i just dont have the time[/citation]

Agree. I already have BF3 and SW:TOR pre-ordered. I'm really only comfortable with maybe one more and that's likely to be Skyrim. I'm still on the fence about Rage so I'll have to wait until after it hits and gets the full review treatment. I'll be lucky to have time for BF3 and Skyrim. SW:TOR will probably hit after the New Year, so even imagining having the time for it all is impossible.

Torchlight is a good Diablo clone so they can push it back until next summer if they really want to. I don't think I'll be effected.

[citation][nom]Arkive[/nom]Diablo 3 is not WoW. BoP would completely ruin what Diablo is about.[/citation]

you know that sound a cash register makes? the ka-ching sound... thats what diablo 3 is about...

[citation][nom]slomoshun[/nom]Why would DIABLO be scared of Skyrim? They're not even close to the same thing. The only similarities is they're both RPG's. They have different stories, concepts, artwork and completely different views of the game.[/citation]

diablo - hack and slash loot fest
elderscrols - first person melee combat loot fest without the item variation and able to ware anything regardless of "class"

i kind of wish that elder scrolls games had the loot tables of a diablo... at least that way there would be variations thoughout the game, where i still need to loot people after 10-20 hours into a 200+ hour game... i always hated that the moment i get glass gear, i can stop looting, as i have the best gear and next to nothing will ever be better.

I've played Diablo III at every blizzcon so far that it's been available. It does live up to the hype, it's an awesome effing game, I cannot wait to get my hands on it.

Shocker... NOT! I will be surprised if it isn't closer to mid 2012 at least before it is released, I really can't wait to get a copy of it in my hands, but it does get a bit discouraging that it keeps getting delayed.

I'm actually surprised by this. With WoW losing so many subscribers and Activision losing so much money and Blizzard being the only thing making the Activision Blizzard games division look good for Vivendi, I would have thought Bobby kotick would have forced them to release D3 this year.

With D3 pushed back to next year that means Blizzard will have no titles sold during calendar year 2011. If the Q3 numbers show the downward spiral that Q1 and Q2 showed for WoW, that will pretty much ensure Q4 will be bleak as well which will give Blizzard a pretty bad year.

The only good thing that may come from this is that Vivendi may decide it's finally time for a CEO change at Activision Blizzard which can only be good for gamers. Here's hoping for a promotion for Morhaime sometime soon.

Actually the push back is surprising and I would be very shocked if it gets pushed back to mid 2012.

By summer of 2012 it will have been 2 years since SC2 was released. I can't see Blizzard releasing multiple titles at the same time because most of their fans are fans of all 3 titles. I expect it to be more of a delay the way Burning Crusade was delayed from November of 2006 to January of 2007.

If D3 somehow gets pushed back to early summer of 2012, that means the second SC2 probably won't get released until summer of 2013 because there is no way they can push back the next WoW expansion. Cataclysm is about to get it's last content patch for the expansion which means a year of that just like it was for ICC in Wrath. That's already pretty bad for WoW. Would be a lot worse if they went more than a year with no content updates for it.

What sort of lonely nerd corrects peoples grammar on a forum anymore? I was typing with one hand earlier while I was using the phone. Arkvive is making this like a huffingtonpost forum with his defensiveness. Must be a blizzard employee.

"With every game we make, the temptation is always very strong to launch as soon as possible." From the company who's brought you such innovations as a pause button on it's delay button next to the please wait button and one moment please button.

Blizzard and as soon as possible now that's funny company is just shy of Duke Nukem Forever in terms of game development speed.

[citation][nom]dontcrosthestreams[/nom]i wont be playn this time around, they have squed the drop rates to make money off of chinese slaves. if there is to much of a good item it will stop droping, making it more valuable in their marketplace[/citation]

Yeah, you know that blizz only gets a tiny fee out of every item sold on RM AH and that that fee is fixed regardless of items sell price. But yeah, I'm really glad that people like you won't be playing. Thank you blizzard for not adding lan, offline and all that crap I don't care about. You're weeding the terribads.

You know those tiny fees + millions of transactions = millions of tiny fees.

Sweatshops of the 21st century are poor people forced to play video games and farm gold or platinum, or whatever in-game currency and items to make some sick individual rich, while they starve. It's a pretty staggering amount of money that people depend on to feed themselves and their families and it all comes from worthless 1s and 0s. How weird is that?

It's one thing for there to be some 3rd party website that is created to handle transactions, but when the ability is built directly into the game, and with the knowledge of how it will be used and exploited, is something some people, perhaps people like dontcrosthestreams cares about. I don't think he's a "terribad" for having a heart and a soul.

As Clonazepam said, millions of tiny fees means a lot of money.

Just look at the stories concerning WoW of prisoners and others being forced to play that game for gold sellers and such, and that is stuff that Blizzard is supposedly trying to stop in WoW. However, with D3, with RMAH not just being sanctioned by Blizz but them having a profit motive with it, they have no incentive to put an end to botting and farming of items.

Of course your comment on thanking Blizzard for not adding lan and offline play for "weeding the terribads" is laughable. Let's assume your premise is correct and those who would play lan and offline play are bad players, what difference would it make to you. Someone playing offline, or a group of 3 or 4 people playing together would have NO affect on your gameplay.

That comment shows you have no clue what Blizzard was all about pre merger.

So this basically means the earliest we'll see it is March because nobody releases games in Jan or Feb due to people not spending in those months due to having spent so much in Dec for Xmas.

I wouldn't go by that. Burning Crusade was put out in a January and sold very well. Was actually the last (and only) expansion that gave WoW any appreciable growth.

I bet this delay is so that WoW players don't leave in droves for D3. Population already seems down and the Deathwing raid is supposed to be coming out for the holiday season -- they don't want people jumping ship until next year.

no Diablo is nothing like WoW. it just requires you to be online, has an AH run by gold farmers....
