Diablo 2 hardmode was awesome, until you lagged and died to LE multishot named! Diablo 2 without LoD was so much more fun as it was somewhat challenging even with the best rares out there. Runes in newest LoD and many of the elite/exceptional uniques in first few patches made diablo II way too easy. If this game isn't as horribly unbalanced as D2 I may give it a shot.

imo runes and that made the game harder - they hardened the mobs and until duping was the default way to get runes it was actually harder.

I for one can't wait for Diablo III! I've been a fan for ages and i just signed up to get a beta key to test when it's released! There's only a few here http://gamebetakeys.com/diablo3 so you may want to try and get in there before they're all gone.

That GameBetaKeys site is a scam.. The front page is just a bunch of nonsense and my e-mail account was stolen after I tried to get a key...

I did find a legitimate site however that didn't ask for personal information or ask me to pay money. I got my invite an hour after I posted in the blog.
