So my internet has been running bad lately and I decided to call my ISP. They aren't willing to help until I prove to them that it's their fault it does so and not mine. To do that I have to do a dial up connection, broadband PPPOE or whatever it is. Here comes the catch. If I try to do that I get error 720 and the network is unidentified. But if I connect the modem back to the router and then the router to pc there is literally no problem. The network is found, the internet works. Just bad and I have no idea what to do to solve that error 720 and the unidentified issue that I get only when I try to directly connect my modem to the pc for dial up.
If something is not clear I'm happy to answer any further question
Also, I have to add, if I try it on another device it DOES work.

Why are you trying to connect your pc directly. As long as you connect to the router via a ethernet cables it should not slow you down.

All that means is you do not have the ppp configured correctly. You most time must have a userid and password at least.

Why do you think the connection uses PPPoE.
