Hey guys,

I recently upgraded my graphics card.My old one was a AMD Radeon HD 6570 and now the new one is a Diamon AMD Radeon HD 7770 Ghz Edition.I've done everything correctly(Installing the card+Installing the latest driver from the website),but whenever I start any game up,it would play for about 3-4 seconds, freeze and crash the game.Sometimes it even restarts the computer.

My PC Specs are:

Windows 7 Ultimate(64 bit)
Diamon AMD Radeon HD 7770
4GB Ram
AMD Athlon X2 250 3.0Ghz Processor
500W Power supply(Yes it does have a 6 pin cable for the graphics card)

Any help would be appreciated. :)

Thanks.

Nevermind guys,it finally worked. This time I downloaded the driver with a BIOS update, but I still got a problem.Switching from the 6570 to the 7770 wasn't really a difference for me...I mean,I get the same amount of FPS and I still can't really record with fraps without lag.Maybe it's because of my dual core processor that my card isn't giving it's 100%? Do I need a better power supply or a quad or more core processor?

By the way, thanks for helping me.

Good for you, you solve the problem.

You cpu is bottlenecking your gpu. Its not giving its 100%. To check how many % of gpu you are using, use GPU-Z soft.

But non-cpu intensive games will give you full performance boost of 7770 like Dirt3/Alan Wake/BF3 in SP.

What is your mobo? You can upgrade to a phenom ii x4 cpu which will not bottleneck your gpu and will be very good for you.
