I've been having some issues with my current computer set up. I am running two Radeon HD 4670's in CrossFire, but the only option for sound is through the computer's headphone jack (as there is no audio out on these cards). I am using a Gigabyte GA-Z68X-UD3H-B3 with built in Intel HD Graphics and Realtek ALC889 codec (supports High Definition Audio, 2/4/5.1/7.1-channel), and desiring to use its audio functionality so I can hook up to the home theatre (using the HDMI Out).
Does anyone know if its possible to use Motherboard sound (ie the HDMI out with Realtek), while still utilizing the CrossFire cards for video? (To my knowledge, Intel HD graphics are superseded by the Radeon HD's, which tricks the computer to not recognizing the audio option)
