I've been having some issues with my current computer set up. I am running two Radeon HD 4670's in CrossFire, but the only option for sound is through the computer's headphone jack (as there is no audio out on these cards). I am using a Gigabyte GA-Z68X-UD3H-B3 with built in Intel HD Graphics and Realtek ALC889 codec (supports High Definition Audio, 2/4/5.1/7.1-channel), and desiring to use its audio functionality so I can hook up to the home theatre (using the HDMI Out).

Does anyone know if its possible to use Motherboard sound (ie the HDMI out with Realtek), while still utilizing the CrossFire cards for video? (To my knowledge, Intel HD graphics are superseded by the Radeon HD's, which tricks the computer to not recognizing the audio option)

I'm not entirely sure. Just to lay it all out there, here is the options when cards/no cards are hooked in:

CrossFire enabled:

1) ATI HDMI Audio
2) ATI HDMI Audio (two cards, two options)
3) Speakers
4) Realtek Digital Output
5) Realtek Digital Output (Optical)

No graphics cards, just MOBO:

1) DENON HDMI Out (this is the audio device I want)
2) Speakers
3) Realtek Digital Output
4) Realtek Digital Output (Optical)
