Chill the hell out. Radeon 6950 kicked GTX 560 Ti by 10 fps in nearly all benchmarks - why is that AMD fanboys always look for nVidia and Intel conspiring against them??? :pfff:

[citation][nom]de5_roy[/nom]dice and nvidia developed fxaa that is used in bf3. according to a recent article i read, this means if you use msaa with a radeon card you lose performance.way to (attempt)push amd out of bf3 nvidia, first it was physx and now fxaa.[/citation]

then don't use MSAA. even AMD themselves recommending their user to use FXAA:

just like cod4..

All you console developers, please take a hint from DICE. Developing for PC as lead platform may help you get better quality on consoles as well and it delights us PC gamers too. So it is a win win!

I kind of find it funny that "the money is in consoles" when we have such a brutal competition between home PC hardware manufacturers. I mean, Nvidia, AMD, and Intel aside, just look at the massive aftermarket... market. How do companies like Antec, GSKILL, Zalman, Corsair survive? Easy, PC gamers are willing to shell out the cash.

If game developers had any sense they'd do what DICE has done and make a bad ass game that has us PC gamers drooling. Sure, some will pirate anyway but millions will purchase it and you can still scale it down for consoles. It's harder to get those extra millions of PC gamer sales if you develop for console primarily.

DICE is a awsome company thats been putting out good work ever since it got its hands on the battlefield franchice. I'd have gone with PC version of BF3 but can't throw that much cash into my machine for the upgrade i'd like at this moment so I have to go the poor mans route

[citation][nom]thestrangebrew[/nom]That's great and all, Dice is cool, but I still can't play BF3 w/o it crashing/freezing on me within a minute of loading. Fix this before worrying about what the consoles look like or how they benefit and I'll be a believer again...[/citation]
Overclocked hardware? Bad Ram? Bad Hard drive(s)? Using older Graphics Drivers?

Yeah... this game is a little buggy but by no means anything like you're claiming.

Of course it had a good effect, aiming for the highest and then scale it downwards. Instead of starting console low and then add some cheesy effects while the textures and poly count still remains ridiculously low for any pc system with a descent gpu. Im happy Dice still aims high, any developer worth its name would let its game scale from low to high not abysmal to low

[citation][nom]amk-aka-phantom[/nom]Cut off your Windows 7 hatred already and get it...[/citation]

when i can use it for more than 10 minutes and not find something i hate, than i will, till than though.

Get a clue. There are THOUSANDS of people having the exact same problems. Dice even admitted that they know that the crashing affects about 13% of gamers. And thats just 1 type of crash. There is still the punkbuster bug (tried to fix but failed) Direct x errors (about 6 different ones are running rampant) among countless others. I have a group of 15 friends who all game together and there are 6 of them, haven't even been able to play more than a few minutes.

So next time, get a freaking clue before you make yourself look stupid.

First of all he didn't say it was impossible. He said it's less fun because it's so chaotic, you don't even know where the shots are coming from which I can understand. Imagine 2x the amount of players on the same map!

Also, the 200 player servers were so laggy and crashed...

DICE sucks. BF3 sucks. Unless you bught it and play it right now, you don't know what you're talking about. BF3 is a major failure and a slap in the face to PC gamers.

Sounds like a troll. Would you care to elaborate on your opinion?
