###Hey guys! I've finally caved in and decided to get a new moniter, the HP 27XW with a HDMI cable.
For the last years or so I've been rocking a 1280x1024 limited 18-21 inch monitor
(Philips 180p brilliance) with 50ms response time and a VGA cable and have now purchased a new HP Pavilion 27" 1080p with 1920x1080 and a HDMI cable, with IPS and 8ms response time.
I'm just curious if the difference I will notice is going to be huge or breathtaking with watching movies, working and gaming? Like I've said I've played 7 years with 1280x1024 (sometimes with 1600x900 on another monitor, also with a VGA cable) so it's all I really know. Also the specs for the rest of my system are pretty good (8GB RAM, X4 860K and GTX 750 Ti).
Last but not least: is the following true?: ''sitting close to a monitor or television (larger than 27 inch) are not built to be in close proximity to the viewer and will eventually damage your eyes''
