So today I built a computer for the first time.
When I put on the thermal paste I put about a pea size and I let the cooler spread it. I was struggling to get the cooler screwed and it slid around a good amount leading to paste going over the side a little. I cleaned it up with 91% alcohol and reapplied it. This is my first concern.
My second concern is that I had to apply a lot of pressure to the cooler in order to get the screws in and I'm a little worried I bent the pins.
It did boot everything was fine but then I shut it off and unplugged it to put the case and other things back on. After I did that it would turn on with no display. After several reboots it randomly started working again.
Also when I log in to windows it loads and then goes back for a bit with the display on before loading up my desktop normally.
Can you guys please use your smarts to help assess the situation thanks!
