I searched for YEARS MONTHS for a reliable CPU fan control software for my windows 10 intel i7 4790k processor because even with turbo mode and HT disabled in BIOS, it still increases its heat due to stock fan its on and cannot go outside especially now to get an aftermarket fan and amazon and ebay does not support my payment methods so I cannot buy online either. Today I was one more time visiting my ASUS BIOS and guess what I found......please slap me in the face. THERE IS A BIOS FAN CONTROL PANEL RIGHT FRONT OF ME AND I DID NOT SEE IT SINCE YEARS! I don't know how but today I "noticed", before this I tried Asus AI 3 software but that program looked a bit shady and weird so I uninstalled it. However there is still asus fan control process in task manager. Oh well.
so...How what can I moron person I'm that I didn't even see a panel right <Mod Edit> front of my eyes. I don't know,
Anyways I did set to a bit higher than "standard" fan curve setting in that BIOS panel, its goin good for desktop usage in terms of temperature and now I'm redownloading RDR2 to test it in low-mid settings. I will let you know how that goes.
A tiny problem is, if I mess with bios settings too much (clicking etc) it gets corrupted and "save and reset" button does not actually save anything and/or my changes does not apply, so if you also looking to do this: remember to not change and click onto options too much or you will have to "load optimizated defaults" and then click/reboot everytime to fix it. Kinda try and learn thing.
QUESTION: 1000-1400 rpm fan speed is ok in terms of health and lifespan?
Thank you
