Did I get ripped of on my £750 PC??

I bought my parts from Maplins. I got a gtx 650 Directcu for £110, a Mobo bundle which included, asus H81M-PLUS motherboard, 8gb of ram, an intel i5 hasswel 3.0 ghz cpu, and a built in gpu. I got a zalaman z11 case, and a cosair 600watt psu. a Networking card, and windows 8, all for £750. But now im starting to think i could have got a better deal and i'm beating myself up about wasting so much money!!

Hey mate, if you ask me, the best option when it comes to buying a new pc is to build one yourself.
If you live in USA or UK you're in luck of having access to websites like NCIX,Newegg,Amazon which provide cheapest prices for building your own pc.
Go on amazon and add up the prices of all your components and see if what's the price range. Keep in mind shipping and the cost you'd normally have to pay for installation, which can range from 20$-50$.

Parts from Maplins is always an expensive way to do it. Last time I bought a gfx card, they were selling the 7770 for the same price as I eventually bought a 7850

The mobo, cpu, and ram was a bundle, that was £330 for an i5 hasswel quadcore 4430 3.0ghz, 8gb of ram, and the H81M. The case was around £55, and the PSU was £70, windows 8 was 80, and the networking card was £30

You didn't need a networking card...idk why you paid for the OS...especially that much. Other then that it wasn't such a bad deal, maybe a better GPU for 110£...should have went for amazon instead of that supplier.

Depends what case, what PSU, etc, but based on other items, looks like you could have saved at least £100, possibly more.

Ultimately, you could have bought a similar system off the shelf for less: For example, here at £700. And that comes with a 3 year warranty.

But don't beat yourself up! In a year the system will be massively out of date and overpriced anyway, that's the way of these things. I write this on my Q9550 with 6Gb of RAM, built just when the i3,i5,i7 ranges launched. I spent less, and saved a bit in the process, but I've probably spent more just in electricity as a result lol!
