Did I get screwed ?

I got my new system finished around 3 months ago and I noticed that upon boot it identifies my memory as NVRAM. I was upgrading from my previous computer; the upgrade did not include RAM and I seem to remember having SDRAM. I'd also like to ask, which is etter SD or NV.

Thanks in advance

I can't picture that it would be NVRAM (Non-Volatile (sp?) RAM). This is the little chunk of memory that stores the settings for your bios.
