did i make a mistake i bought a openbox from newegg

I recently ordered a open box asus z270 rog maximus ix hero from newegg for $120 which is about half the price it would cost if it was unopened . I'm a little worried I wont get any accessories. because they had the asrock extreme4 open box going for $131.99 and its a cheaper motherboard. I hope price is not any indication of what your getting. do you think the openbox asrock extreme4 comes with all of its accessories that's why it cost more ? i just need the io shield and q connector. I don't care about the sata cables and driver cd. is it possible i mite get all the accessories even though i paid so cheap for the motherboard ?

I'd say the chance of getting all the parts is pretty good, Don't count on it though. Can't you return it if it doesn't?

I asked newegg and they said they cant say they can only guarantee I am going to get the motherboard and it will be fully functional so I'm assuming to be fully functional it would have to come with the io shield and q connector so I can connect my case to the motherboard. if it does not come with a q connector can I use a q connector from a different motherboard have a msi z97 gaming 7 laying around

Well you dont need the q-connector. Thats just an easier way of connecting the front wires of the case to the headers.

You can still connect them with or without this

It may or may not be labelled the same as the ASUS.

So if they're labelled wrong, you'll be connecting the wires to the wrong headers

Just wait and see, you can always return it. This is why I don't mess with open box stuff. However at half price I'd say it was worth the gamble.

The first motherboard I ordered I returned to Newegg without even opening the box. However this will get sold as an Open box item since it got sent out to me. So you may get lucky and get something like that. Lots of people worry that if they don't return everything they won't get their money back. My point being, don't stress about it yet. Wait till it shows up and see what you get.

the board is nice I got all accessories except for motherboard screws and standoffs will the phanteks eclipse p400s computer case I ordered come with stand offs and motherboard screws ?

I don't know about mobo screws but it should have standoffs

Motherboards generally don't come with standoffs or screws, its the case that does.
