Hey all so I just added some new parts to my PC and I'm coming across a booting problem. I'll list my specs below, I'm at work so I apologize if I get something incorrect.
So I bought a new gpu, (sapphire nitro plus 7900 xtx), a new PSU (seasonic tx 1000 prime), and upgraded my ram (2x32 gb patriot steel viper). I set everything up, rewired what I needed to, but the PC wouldn't turn on. I jump started the PSU to confirm that worked, it did. Then I tested plugging in everything one at. Time into the PSU and the system booted fine up until I plugged in the GPU. Whenever I plug the GPU into the PSU it no longer powers on. The only thing that happens is when I plug the ac cable, or flip the power switch of the PSU to on, the motherboard has one light that flashes once but the power switch for the PC won't work.
I've been trying lots of different troubleshooting along the way and have built and troubleshooted many PCs before so don't hold back on me. I'm pretty sure at this point I just need to rma the GPU. I plan on doing that when I get off work later today. If anyone can think of some things for me to test or has questions please let me know. I'll be monitoring this thread while I'm at work and will try any suggestions when I get home.
Thanks in advance everybody.
