Question Did MS just stealth update adwarer on my PC just now?

[Need Help 4 HDD]

So all of a sudden, my modem rebooted itself out of nowhere. I wasn't even using my PC, but using a tablet sharing my router's wifi.
After my modem came back online, I see this picture of a Leopard in my search engine on Windows Taskbar. Hovering over it brings up a ad & MS news crap.
I did not touch a thing on my PC or modem & it auto inserted pictures to the search bar & added news, when there were none before.

Did Microsoft do this or is this maleware responsible? How could it be possible happen with the modem just rebooting itself out of nowhere & new settings/updates being installed?

Your internet modem rebooting and your leopard appearances are just coincidental.

Here is what you need to do to turn off the feature on your devices:

1. Right-click on the Windows 10 taskbar-
2. Select Search.
3. Toggle "show search highlights".
