I was playing Skyrim earlier and I go to leave a town and my screen goes black. I assume the game just froze and try ctrl+alt+del but nothing happened, so I turn off my PC by holding the power button and turn it back on. The monitor stays black and its power button starts blinking. So I open my case and the GPU's fan is still working. I turned off my PC again and plugged my monitor into my onboard graphics and everything works fine. I check in the BIOS and it says there isn't anything plugged into my PCIe slot.

So is my GPU dead, or is there anything else I can do to check and possibly make it run? I can't plug my GPU into the other PCIe slot as I needed to mod my case just to get the card to fit into the slot it's currently plugged into. Tomorrow I can have a friend bring a spare card over and see if the slot is dead.

The language in HIS's warranty kind of concerns me. It's like they say, "if anything is wrong with your card we have the right to not accept it" or something

http://www.hisdigital.com/us/support-71.shtml

Should I not be worried?

Also, I admit to overclocking the card, but I kept the temperatures below 60C, but could the OC have burnt it out still? And if it did, would the manufacturer notice something like that
