[SOLVED] Did my new VGA to HDMI Adapter screw my games?

Hello, I am currently having a problem. I am getting very low FPS with various games, around 5-10 FPS which would usually be 30 FPS. The only major change I did was swap out my Acer VGA to HDMI adapter since it's broken now. My PC is an Aspire TC-704 but the Monitor that came with it only had VGA and HDMI available so they provided and Acer branded adapter. I bought a new one and my FPS are now very low. I have never had this problem before so I am confused on how to resolve this...

Maybe when you changed the adapter the resolution you were running at also changed. You may want to list some full details about the system, I don't see much info about that computer and you did not say what games, what resolution, what settings, what monitor is, etc...

If you can run HDMI from the PC to the monitor, that would be the best, VGA is old school analog.
