Recently I was shutting off my Windows 7 Home Premium computer and while I was going so I noticed in the task manager a program titled "Did you know..." in the applications windows of the task manager. The thumbnail was a blue target reticule (as if looking in a rifle scope) and I don't recall any tabs open for the app. I was shutting down my computer when I noticed this so the taskbar isn't viewable so it may have been minimized but I didn't see it. Being as paranoid as I am, the first thing I'm going to ask is "is this a virus?". So, is this a virus? I didn't download any program that corresponds to the thumbnail or application name so it would have to be some sort of factory program. Does anyone know what this is? Any help would be appreciated!

It probably is some form of malware or adware, especially if the blue target logo is very unprofessional and pixelated in appearance. Your best bet is to Google it, and see what Google says. It could be as simple as deleting the EXE file or sometimes malware even comes with uninstallers (believe it or not).

Try downloading Malwarebytes Anti-Malware and running that. It does a good job of detecting malicious unwanted programs which most anti-virus programs wouldn't detect. Just make sure you make sure you review the scan report so you don't delete anything that you want to keep because it is a very thorough program.
