Question Difference between connecting to 1 and 2 sata cables to RGB controller for UNI FAN SL V2

Im using 3 fans

the website for UNI FAN SL V2 recommends to connect its power connection cable that has 2 sata headers, to 2 different sata cables.

What would happen if I plugged it to a single sata cable?

here's my specs:

Psu: rm 1000x Gold 80 Plus
Motherboard: Asus Prime Z690-p Wifi Ddr4

Not a problem if you are using fewer than 12 fans or using white color often due to the added power requirements.
