Difference between crucial SSD1 and SSD4

Solution

Yes, same speed.
Any price difference is up to your specific market and retailer.

Here in the US, the 2.5" MX500 is $85, and the MX500 m.2 is $83

the difference is one is an M.2 format and the other (cheaper one) is an normal SATA format.. You can see that from the images they show. for the M.2 one you need to have a motherboard that supports that format or it will not work. (most new stuff has at least 1 slot for them). they both look to be the same speed etc.. so unless you don't have any SATA connectors left I would just get the cheaper one.

IF you have an Laptop OR computer motherboard that supports NVMe and you really want some SPEED then find an NVMe Drive (though they cost more then a normal ssd.. but are a lot faster) though in realworld stuff unless you move files around you will not notice the difference.

Hey,

So just to make sure, I can go with the one below that I'll have the same speed of the SSD1 ?

I'm asking due to three reasons:
1 - I didn't find many of the SSD4 version in the market, which sounds odd to me
2 - The SSD4 looks like SSD for laptop, will it work on a normal CPU ?
3 - Should I buy the "cover" for the SSD4 version ?

Overall, if both are that same SATA III, speed and so on why the difference at its price ?

Also, will the SSD4 fit on my motherboard Asus prime b450m-a ?

Solution
Hey bro, perfect!

Just wanted to make sure it will be the same, here the difference is about USD 40,00 which is ridiculously high for nothing different, that's why I thought there was something else (the only difference I see at all is the design)

Just last question, will it fit my Asus Mobo prime b450m-a ?

Yes.
