Difference between DDC2B and DDC2Bi

Hi All,
I want to know the difference between DDC2B and DDC2Bi. I read
somewhere that the slave address in case of DDC2B is A0/A1 while in
case of DDC2Bi it is 6E/6F. My system is DDC2B complaint and I want to
communicate with monitor connected to that machine using I2C
communication. On other machine I am using DDC2Bi communication. Can
anyone give me information on this? Any kind of help will be of great
use.

You're right regardng the address difference, and this is really the
only hardware difference between DDC2B and DDC2Bi (which
otherwise simply requires a software change at both ends, host
system and display, to permit bidirectional I2C master/slave
communication over the DDC connection.

DDC2Bi has been replaced by the newer DDC/CI (Display
Data Channel - Command Interface) standard, but the basics
of the hardware and communications protocol remain the same.

Hi Bob,

Thanks alot for your response. I am trying to achive I2C communication
on Intel 815 and Intel 810. From the Intel 810/ 815 manual I came to
know that it is DDC2B complaint. When I try to give slave address as 6E
as well as A0. But in both the cases I fail to receive acknoledgement.
Can you please help me in achieving I2C communication using DDC2B.
