This has been a lingering question in my mind, but how big of a difference is the performance of a FE and aftermarket GPU ?

For specifics, I'm currently looking at the RTX 2070 on Newegg. There is a MSI GeForce RTX 2070 Ventus for $494, with a core clock of 1410 MHz and a boost clock of 1620 MHz, and the FE version of the RTX 2070 it is listed at $600, with a base clock of 1410 MHz and a boost clock of 1710 MHz. I mean, a $100 difference for just an additional 90 MHz that can be easily achieved with an aftermarket GPU for $500 can't be worth it, can it?

If it really isn't worth it, and as a follow up question, how much performance does clock speed affect? There is another RTX 2070 on newegg currently on sale for $500, the ZOTAC AMP Extreme, with an astounding boost clock of 1860 MHz. If I take this gpu while I can, how much of a performance increase would it have over another RTX 2070 with a boost clock of 1620 MHz?

Thanks, I know it was a long question, but all input would be truly appreciated.
