Difference between Geforce 6800 GS and Geforce 6800 GT?

What is the difference between the Geforce 6800 GS and Geforce 6800 GT? Why does the 6800 GS cost a lot less? Is the 6800 GS that much worse than the GT?
and my final question... How does the GS compare to other good video cards out there?

GS is actually comparable in performance to the GT and OCs like a beast. As the newer gen cards are coming out the older ones are lowering in price.
