[SOLVED] Difference between Sennheiser PC38X cables ?

I'm planning on getting the seinnheiser pc38x but since I'm a laptop user, I can only use the console cable. I don't really want to invest in an amp too. Is there a difference in audio and mic quality between the console and pc cable?
