I have a DELL 27" Ultrsharp on order. But I noticed the 24" less that half the price of the 27" Ultrsharp.

What is the real difference between the Ultrsharp and None Ultrsharp?

From what I noticed with NEW PC's is that the colors look washed out and it seems as if the Anti-alising is off like in games where they look choppy if Anti-aliasing is off.

The colors in the none ultrsharp also look a bit off but the difference here is that these were using the cheap onboard video on the motherboard. I have no idea if these minor details go away with a GOOD video card.

So what is the big difference here? Is the screen quality really any different? Or are we paying just for the extra connections?

BTW I am getting the 27" for $650 after taxes. I am kind of wanting to save my $$$$ and go for the 24" and spend the money I saved on a nice videocard.

Let me know,
Thanks,
-Oscar

The 24" and up ultrasharps are significantly higher quality than the non ultrasharps. The 24" and 27" Ultrasharp monitors use S-PVA panels, while the non ultrasharp 24 uses a TN, which has poorer color, gamma shift, and a mediocre viewing angle. Basically, the ultrasharps will look crisper, brighter colors, and be more accurate.
