Question Difference in speed between cable modem and router connection

Xfinity cable modem w/wireless I dont see a model number
tp-link router AX1800

just running speed test from my ipad and get drastic difference between the 2 wireless comnections.

xfinity is at 301 down and 18 up
tp-link is at 40 down and 25 up.

is there a setting in the router that I need to change. Thanks

nothing on the bottom of the cable modem?
login to your xfinity account. they might give you the model number there
