What is the difference between the sapphire tri x r9 290x oc and r9 290x sapphire tri x.
Are they the same card pcb wise.
If so do they support Kraken G12 GPU cooler and do I need a copper shim?

Spelling. That is the difference in what you posted.

Now, if you have MODEL NUMBERS to compare, that would be different. Based on naming, there would be no difference and chances are good that ANY differences between two R9 290X Tri-X cards will be minimal. The whole point of Tri-X is that is is a specific type of cooler. There IS a 290x Tri-X OC that comes with a higher factory overclock out of the box.

I have no idea, because you did not provide the actual model numbers of the two cards you want to compare. Names are not models.

The only difference is a 30Mhz clock speed. They are the same card and same PCB.

FAO Owners of the Sapphire 290X R9 Tri-X card

This is a bit of a N00b question as I'm somewhat confused but I looked it up and there are 2 versions of this card -- one is an OC and the other isn't: Non-OC OC From what I can tell, it's just the clock speed which is different 1010Mhz as opposed to 1040Mhz. Is there anything else...
