Differences between 2x4GB RAM stick and 1x8GB RAM??

Hi. I wanted to upgrade my RAM from 4gb to 8gb. I went to shop, and instead of buying another 4gb ram stick I bought only one 8gb ram stick and sold the 4gb ram stick. Is there a big differences between having 2 stick ram and 1 stick same ram??

2X4 will run in Dual Channel Mode , but will only be slightly faster , very little difference.

oh... my god.. Lets say in normal game with 2x4gb ram sticks I will have how much more fps then 1 stick??

For gaming 1-2% max if using a dedicated video card,more if using an APU or on die graphics.
So if you are getting 100fps and upgrade to 2x4 you will get 102fps.
Rendering, media encoding etc... may see a larger increase, depending on the software/hardware used.
