Question Different bandwitdh or rows?

Can i use different bandwith? I have a 1 row by 8 4gb 1600mhz in my laptop. And i want to upgrade my laptop to 8gb. And i have extra ram is it okay to put them together? The extra ram i have is 4gb 2 rows by 8 1600mhz.
