So I have one stick of 4gb of g.skill ripjaws x memory ddr3-1600mhz it was part of 8gb kit but the other stick is MIA.
If I were to order this:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231718&nm_mc=AFC-C8Junction&cm_mmc=AFC-C8Junction-PCPartPicker,%20LLC-_-na-_-na-_-na&cm_sp=&AID=10446076&PID=3938566&SID=

With both those ram sticks in would there be complications?

F3-12800CL9D-8GBXL is what I have
F3-12800CL9S-4GBXL is what I want to order

[quotemsg=17370284,0,301262]Yeap should work, on some extremely rare occasions it won't but it most deifntiely should. only difference is the D and S, where D stands for double/dual (since its 2x4gb) and s is for single, so it should run. Also how does a ram stick go mia lol[/quotemsg]
Ok thanks
The person who gave me the pc only put in 1 of the 4gb of ram he kept the other one i suppose, there's more than that but that is the main part

[quotemsg=17370615,0,1333705]Maybe - there are no guarantees when mixing DRAM from different packages, even of the same exact model. It's a 50/50 crapshoot. If you try and have problems, give a shout we can try some voltage, timing changes to see if we can get them to play[/quotemsg]
Thank you for the offer i will order the ram soon
My current one stick is suppose to be running at 9 cas but it is running at 11 so the timings at messed up on that one

Hi so I received the ram in the mail put it in the other black slot for dual channel mode, turned it on andddddd it turns off and back on and back off cant even get into the bios
I made a thread about this before when I had reapplied thermal compound and took out the cpu to clean it.
But now taking out the bios battery doesn't seem to be working
Thoughts?

[quotemsg=17411714,0,1333705]Try starting with only the old stick, go into BIOS and enable XMP, next go to DRAM voltage and raise it + 0.06, save, exit, shutdown and then add the new stick and try[/quotemsg]

My ram is running at auto voltage
I looked at the voltage and it was at 1.488v but i think it runs normally at 1.50v so how much would i raise it by?

[quotemsg=17415792,0,1333705]Try to 1.54 or 1.55 if problems ;)[/quotemsg]
Should i enable XMP mode in OC genie (cause i have an msi motherboard)
Cause raising the voltage doesnt work
