Different Graphics cards, please help?

What kind of graphics cards are there. I dont mean a geforce gtx 1080, what other graphcs cards are there and what do they do. What is so special with them?

There are some made for gaming, some for graphics, some for multimedia work and some specializing in CAD. Now there are even some made specially for Bitcoin mining (no monitor output).
