Different input method (language) for a specific program

Using the control panel's language advanced settings "Let me set a different input method for each app window" keeps in memory what input method I want per program. But every time I restart the application it forgets about it.

What can I do to make it know to stay in ENG US in a specific program (Maya 2017) and ENG INTL in the rest?
