Hi,
I'm using a windows 10 laptop with an external Lenovo n27p monitor. I get different resolutions when connecting to hdmi 1 (1920*1080) and hdmi 2 (3840*2160), is this normal? Is it by design?
Manual says they are identical. I tried a different laptop, a different cable.
Lenovo assistance doesn't know what to do apparently, while the issue is reported on their forum, they switched the device with another identical one with no results.
It could be a company setting to show the device potential?
Thanks

Hey there,

So both resolutions are supported by your monitor. 1080p, and 4k.

But it's odd that the same cable going into the HDMI 2.1 ports, show different resolution. It might simply be a feature of the monitor, which saes you from having to go into the monitor menu to change from 1080p to 4k.

If it's in the 1080p 'mode' are you able to further increase the monitor resolution to 4k through the control panel, with that port?

Hi, thanks for your help.

Nope, it's the maximum resolution for hdmi 1
