Question Different Ram Speeds?

Hey!

I was just wondering if you're able to have different ram speeds, I currently have two 8gb 2666mhz sticks, is it possiblle for me to put in two 8gb 3200mhz sticks?

CPU: Ryzen 2600
Motherboard: Asus Rog Strix B450-F Gaming
Current RAM: Corsair 2x8GB DDR4 2666MHz CL15 Vengeance RGB PRO
Ram to put in: Corsair 2x8GB DDR4 3200MHz CL15 Vengeance RGB PRO

Could work, but I would recommend getting the exact same model instead. These are very similar sticks, and assuming they do work together, the faster RAM will just slow down to the speed of the slower RAM, so there's really no point in getting a faster model and risking compatibility issues. If possible, get the exact same RAM that is already installed in the system.

If they work together , and there's a chance they won't. They will run at the speed of the slower set.
