[SOLVED] Different ram sticks

Hi, i have a msi laptop I7, Nvidia 2070 and one stick of normal green 16Gb ram...
I will upgrade with another stick of 16GB...
My question is
1 - I need to buy one with the same speed?
2 - can i buy one gaming stick to join my normal green ram?

dont ever mix ram.If you are buying another stick make sure that it is the same exact stick (same capacity,model,speed...)
If you dont know the name of the "normal green ram stick" than buy a new kit of 32gb

Don't mix modules with dd4 unless you want to take a chance. Get another identical module or a new full set.

On the MSI Site say my memory is ddr4 2666Mhz... Can y bought a 3200Mhz memory or only 2666Mhz will work? Thanks

It looks like the max speed supported is 2666MHz. If that’s right then if you use RAM rated for 3200MHz it will only be able to run at 2666MHz.
