Hello,

We have a Dell T7500 that experienced a failure of the CPU riser, so we are now stuck with only 6 RAM slots, 2 of which are occupied by 4GB RAM sticks. We want to get new 8GB RAM modules to get the most out of the machine, but we are having difficulty finding suitable RAM to buy online. It might be because the system is so old. According to the spec sheet by Dell, the computer can take:

"Up to 192GB1 of 1066MHz or 96GB2 of 1333MHz ECC Registered DIMM memory..."

The same information is available in the more detailed technical guide:

We tried running the Crucial system scanner but for some reason it recommends 1600Mhz RAM:

This doesn't seem right.

The closest RAM module that we have been able to find is this:

The only issue here is that it is 1.5V, whereas all the other RAM modules on the T7500 are 1.35V. I can't find any specs about how much voltage is supported by the machine. BUT, since this seems to be the closest thing to what we want to get, would you say that there could be issues putting RAM with slightly higher voltage into the machine? As far as I understand 1.5V is the standard, and 1.35V is a low-voltage variant.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

P.S.

We have to go order the RAM from specific suppliers because our workplace has contracts with them, so getting a stick from EBay or Amazon is not an option. The suppliers we can use are:
