This problem has been driving me nuts for months. Sometimes it's more hearable, sometimes less. Here's a little clip I've recorded using very good quality mic close to speakers. Here I start a game 'Satisfactory', then load up a level, then quit.

Digital noise clip

I was thinking this problem is somehow videocard related, because it appears mostly when video card starts rednering something in 3d. However it's not always the case. Sometimes ligher version of the noise can be heard even when I scroll some pages in browser / excel. I changed video card under RMA but problem stayed.

I was also thinking that was a problem related to power supply. Bought a new one - same thing.

I was also thinking that is related to soundcard / monitors. Noise appears even when sound card is turned OFF. When monitors are turned off you can hear that crap in headphones.

Cables - I did run a separate cable from different outlet / room and placed half of my computer related devices through it. Doesn't help. Some of computer stuff is powered from Furman M-8x2 power unit. Unplugged absolutely every device from USB - doesn't help. I can hear some minor digital rubble even when I simply print this post now.

It's clearly some ground issue, but I really can't figure out why and where it does come from. Any help would be appreciated.

i have had similar issues to you, but my problem was always related to bad electricity/power.
i'll just throw some ideas,
  • use a different outlet only for your monitor power. (make sure pc and monitor are on different power adapters/splitters)
  • use a high quality power adapter/splitter
  • turn the power plug around in the outlet/power distributor
  • plug monitor in different usb port (dont know how its connected)
  • use an external usb card to plug in sound
  • use an outlet with ground
  • connect the pc chassis to radiator with a metal wire to get grounding
  • test with different pc/speakers/headphones on the same power outlet and vice versa on a different one
  • use a usb audio interface

hope some of will help, audio bugs suck

Thanks for all input, I've tried it all but nothing helped. It's slightly worse or slightly better, but it's still there. Monitor / etc. movement doesn't matter, when I simply turn monitor off or take power cable out it doesn't change anything.

It's some major ground problem. Unfortunately, I don't have no battery here to try to ground the chassis.

This sucks.
