Dimm slot 2 not working

Dimm slot 2 not working will boot with 1 stick in slot 1 but not in slot 2 do my pins look bent I cant tell

Have you tested both RAM modules (individually) in the working slot #1?

No way of knowing whether:

a) One stick is bad - check both sticks in 1st slot
b) One slot is bad - check both sticks in 2nd slot
c) Sticks are in the correct spots - check MoBo manual

Ok theirs pic I tried both rams in slot 1 they both booted and i could get to bios. If I put 2 in it don't work. If I use just 1 in slot 2 nothing no boot no video

Also check in the manual that the total amount of RAM you are trying to use is supported. If it only supports 8GB and you are using 2X8GB modules, one will be ignored. Some budget laptops only support 4GB.

I found 1 bent pin under magnifying glass could that be the issue

If both modules work independently, the issue could be with the DIMM slot (bent pin, or simply faulty electrically), or in the compatibility between the 2 modules themselves.

Were your modules bought together in a matching pair? ie a "kit", 2x4GB, 2x8GB etc, sold together in retail packaging?
