Got one of these this past weekend, and noticed the clock in the head is a
Xerox copy, cut and taped to the motor. Was this a plastic? A sticker? Does
any one have one they'd part with?

It should be on a black plastic wheel. The "sticker" on mine is original,
afaik, and is just a paper sticker which is then stuck to the black round
plastic wheel.

Someone did a replacement decal at this page :

It may need a bit of photoshopping to get the arrow to look the right color
when printed (ie should be red with a black outline, looks a bit dark in
that version), then you could just print it out on peel-n-stick paper.
