Get Rid of Internet Explorer 8. Download firefox. This problem occurs in the hard drive/ Internet Explorer. The driver has errors. I had same problem. I was working on Controllers, when I downloaded ie8, immediately I noticed the error popping up again. Did Computer Restore to earlier time., (before I installed ie8) rebooted, and downloaded firefox. FIXED.

+1 for you - Could not agree more with you. Replaced IE8 months ago due to incessant failures. Firefox is not only more reliable, it is definitely faster by far to respond.

I was having trouble with this same issue. It's an "ActiveX Filtering" problem. Just uncheck or disable it and the error should go away. It did for me. I only had a problem with it when I used IE, hence the "IE" in the error message. Google Chrome and Firefox do just fine.
