I search information about accessibility and I find this document.

Amicus brief – Commonly known as a “friend of the court” brief. An amicus brief provides individuals or organizations (such as government agencies or disability organizations) without a direct stake in the lawsuit to provide information or legal arguments to the court.
What is the meaning of expression: direct stake?

"direct involvement" would be a better term here.

Stake is like partial ownership or contribution to something. Raising the stakes is a term used to mean to escalate a situation, with the meaning behind it being that you added something in. Often used in fiduciary situations.

Thanks.

direct stake:
someone that the lawsuit has a direct impact on.
someone that it pertains to

If there were a lawsuit pertaining to employees of Ford Motor company, I do not have a direct stake in it, because I am not an employee of Ford Motor Company.
