I've been a loyal "Toms Hardware Guide" user, promoting the site, since 1996 and this is the first time this has ever happened.

I attached this question to an older thread early this morning and mousemonkey closed it without giving me an answer.

I was wondering if I could use one of the newer faster DirectX 11 video cards in my Windows XP Pro 32 bit PC to play a DirectX 9 game in order to reap the benefits of the newer cards speed.

Thanks in advance!

Solution
they will work perfectly and everything will run faster, however some new games such as battlefield 3 wont run on windows xp so you might want to consider upgrading that aswell to take advantage of the full dx11 eye candy

Thanks much, we1shcake! I had a feeling it would be fine, but I have a habit of double checking just to be on the safe side.

Again, thanks for your time and effort.

Have a good one!
